Nausea Dizziness Motion sickness Eye strain Disorientation Vertigo Seizures Increased body temperature Increased heart rate Injury Self-injury due to user error (e.g., bumping into players or walls, tripping, etc.)
Please be advised that the following rules and recommendations apply when taking part... 1. Participation is not recommended if you are physically ill, extremely tired, fatigued, heavily stressed, or severely anxious. 2. You will not be allowed to participate if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other substances not related to a medical condition. 3. If you are susceptible to light-sensitive health conditions and have not confirmed the suitability of your medical condition, you will be refused entry.
While using Virtual Reality Headsets... 1. Flickering screens and flashing images can occur, potentially triggering underlying health conditions. 2. Equipment may affect medical devices such as cardiac pacemakers. 3. The media content of some experiences may impact individuals with pre-existing medical or mental health conditions. 4. We hold no responsibility or liability for triggering phobias such as claustrophobia. 5. Objects in both VR and the real environment may not always be visible, and vice versa, while playing. 6. We take no responsibility for monitoring your health and wellness during play. Please actively monitor your own well-being. 7. Virtual Reality is recommended by the NSPCC and other child health-related services for an average age rating of 12+. 8. Negative health and mental health effects may not be immediately apparent.
BY USING DESIGN IN VR SERVICES, YOU ARE INDICATING YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. 1. I (or my student/dependent/minor) wish to use a Design in VR virtual reality headset. I recognize and understand that using a VR headset involves risks. 2. I (or my student/dependent/minor) am using the VR equipment voluntarily, in accordance with my experience and its related risks. 3. I assume all physical, psychological, and financial risks associated with the use of Design in VR equipment and experiences. 4. I understand that media, including but not limited to photos and videos, may be captured by Design in VR during my workshop. I confirm that I waive all rights to and control over such media and understand that it may be used by Design in VR, including but not limited to social media, print media, and press releases. 5. I acknowledge that I have read and understood this waiver in full and that I am voluntarily giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue Design in VR or its employees. 6. I acknowledge that by signing this waiver, I release Design in VR from any liability regarding my use of any Design in VR equipment. 7. If the equipment is being used by my student/dependent/minor, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor named below. I have the legal right to consent, and by signing below, I hereby consent to the terms and conditions of this Release of Liability. 8. I understand that I must sign this Release of Liability in person before using any Design in VR equipment or participating in any Design in VR workshops. 9. I confirm that I am over 18 years of age, have read the above information, and agree to the Design in VR Terms and Conditions.
